BREEDING WELSH WITH THE WORLD FAMOUS BLOODLINES
Llanarth Stud originated in the late 1930’s and all sections of the Stud Book were bred: A, B, C and D. Today we specialise in sections A, B, D and Welsh Part Breds.
All of our ponies and cobs are expected to perform - consequently, their conformation, temperament and type are major elements in their success.
Over the past 90 years, Llanarth ponies and cobs have been exported all over the world and have been very successful for their new owners. We ourselves have had immense success in all major UK shows - in hand, in harness and under saddle.
We have qualified consistently during the last four decades for the Supreme In Hand Showing event at the Horse Of The Year Show (HOYS), and been Supreme Champion. Under saddle our Stud Stallions and their progeny have qualified for the Supreme Rider events at Olympia, London, and the Horse Of The Year Show.
We are very proud of the fact in 2014 and 2015 the Supreme Champion Horse at the HOYS was sired by Llanarth Alleycat. In 2016 and 2017, the Supreme Champion Pony at HOYS was sired by Llanarth Aristocat. In 2023, the Supreme Champion Pony was sired by Llanarth Topcat.
